DEMOS Dialogue cards

DEMOS Dialogue Cards are thematic prompts framing different democracy and European values, dilemmas, questions and challenges. These Dialogue Cards are the key tool to facilitate Democracy Dialogues, designed to enhance the facilitators’ as well as participants’ understanding of key democratic challenges.

Each of the 70+ DEMOS Dialogue Cards presents a particular democracy-related key term, concept, tension, dilemma, controversy or social issue. Next to the basic definition of this issue, there are three levels of questions for the dialogue process: warming up, going deeper, and closing reflections.

When organizing your DEMOS Dialogue, choose one of the topics from the cards and use the card, the DEMOS ground rules, and the DEMOS Dialogue script to facilitate the conversation.
